VIR (Veterinary Research Institute) Visit

Venue: Veterinary Research Institute, 59 Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, 31400, Ipoh, Perak

Organizers: Batch 14/15

Objective: Cell Culture and Virology (Practical)

Benefits: Exposure of students to various cell culture/ virology related techniques, methods and
                understanding.





Second year students ( Batch 14/15) visited Veterinary Research Institute at Ipoh,Perak. They were  exposed with working environment especially in cell culture and virology techniques. The activities held there are expose to animal virus (brunella), demonstration of proper streaking method and egg inoculation. They were also being introduced to SPF chicken, different types of animal worms, sample serum containing virus and also some diseases on the infected animal’s organs.

Organized by: ABSA and postgraduate students

Benefits: To promote Biotechology




This event was held to promote and develop interest in Biotechnology course to the outsiders. We invited school’s students so that they can gain more information about Biotechnology. Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring bioproducts. The exhibition is entirely handled by AIMST Biotechnology postgraduate students.
